True Life:: I suck at consistency.

Hey y’all. It is 2016. Can we finally be honest with ourselves and everyone else for a chance.?! I’ll start.

When it comes to consistency, I am not that strong in it.True Life:: I like kinda really suck at it. Now don’t get me wrong, I can get a job done, but in the midst of completing that job, I can guarantee there were some inconsistencies in there. However, “Consistency is key”. **rolls eyes** How many times have we heard that saying? We know it’s true! Even consistency is like, “Come on nah bruh. You know it’s true”, and all I can hear in terms of this is the verse from Proverbs (1:22) that says: “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge”. Son!! We are some simple people! When it comes to a lot of things, the answer is right there, but it’s not always “simple” so we don’t ever see it, reach it, obtain it, access it, or even receive it!! Smh..

Each of us have the ability to be consistent. Don’t believe me? How often do you check your phone? Scroll on social media? Eat? Take a bath/shower? Go to work? Watch TV? Need I go on??? See, it is in you to do; we just sometimes be consistent in the wrong things/way. But the very fact that it is in you to do it is the reason I know that each of us can live in and on purpose!

Purposeful living and doing has been like my theme and motto for about a few weeks now. We know and we quote Jeremiah 29:11, but do we really believe it? That God has plans for you, peace not evil, hope AND a future?! Do you believe it!? I tend to question myself and my beliefs quite often because at times it seems we forget God and His promises. We forget that He has created each of us with a purpose, that He thinks good towards us, that He sent His Son to die for us and set us free, that He forgives us, that He came so that we can live abundantly, that we are the head and not the tail, the lender and NOT the borrower, that we can confront our “giants” AND slay them! (Or maybe that’s just me?)

When it comes to things in my life that I want to see manifested, like NOW, God told me toady in prayer that it is not Him, but ME that is the problem and the reason I am not seeing my manifestation! I’m going to tell you, dear reader, the same thing. The reason YOU are not seeing what you are praying, asking, seeking, and believing for is because of YOU not God. I know this because He led me here to write this post just for you (and me)!

So now, because you are always right, you are asking, “But how? What am EYE doing wrong!? Womp, womp, womp.” Well, I will tell you. You are not being CONSISTENT!! That what! Remember our favorite saying: “Consistency is key”.?! Well, “Consistency” is the key that will open the door to your manifestation. It will open the door to your business, your promotion, your move, your job, your schooling, your marriage, your joy, peace, and happiness. Without being consistent, those things, and then some, may be locked away from you longer than they should be. What did you asked? How can you access them?? Well, I am glad you asked!!!

  1. Become and remain consistent in God’s Word.
    • This is first and foremost important! It’s no mistake Joshua and David talked about meditating on God’s Word day and night. They knew His Word was the key to keeping them. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.“(2 Timothy 3:16-17) You see, by remaining consistent in His Word, we will be complete and THOROUGHLY equipped for EVERY good work. Not some, majority, or just a little bit, but EVERY good work that is in you to do! The Word is what will teach you, tell you when you’re wrong, guide you, and keep you just, but when you are not consistent, you may start to forget, think you are right, go off path and detour your own job from getting done.
  2. Become and remain consistent to your task at hand.
    • Whatever it is that God is telling you to do, do it and be consistent with doing it. Yall, when I tell YOU this is a hard pill for me to swallow cuz I know I am lacking in this area right now! Help me please Lord! But fareal, you must remain consistent. That is the only way the job will get done. Sometimes, it is going to seem silly or even seem like nothing is happening, but let me encourage you. God knows what He is doing and talking about. There is a story in the Book of Joshua (chapter 6). God told Joshua that He was giving Jericho into his hands, BUT he had to do something before this happens. He and all his men of war had to march around the city once a day for 6 days and 7 priests had to bear 7 trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark, but on the seventh day, they had to march around the city 7 times. So they did. Marching one time for 6 days without saying a word and then marched around 7 times on the seventh day making a loud noise and the walls of Jericho fell flat and the city was given into his hands just as God promised. Read it, it’s there.
Now I could be wrong, but I’m sure somebody had it in their head like, “This is so silly! How are we going to take a town by marching around the outside of it silently? We need to get in there and behead the leader!” Or at least, that probably would have been my thoughts, but no one said anything or did anything other than be consistent. That was their key to obtaining Jericho and it is your key to your promise!

**Message:: Sometimes you just need to shut up and do what you are told to do and then make noise (give God some praise) when you make it to the end**

And that’s all I got for you!! I figured since we are simple people, why not keep the answers simple!? There is your quick 1-2 steps to being purposeful! Well, its really one step with two parts, but you get my drift! 😉

So people, KNOW: You were created with a purpose and the only way to do that purpose is to remain consistent. And always remember:

Consistency. Is. Key.

Now let’s start opening some doors!!!

Bless and Be Blessed.
