So today as I was driving, I realized I couldn’t see through my glasses. They were all cloudy and dusty and things, so I took my cloth out and cleaned them, and the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “That’s what you need to do with your spiritual lens” and I was like WOW!!!! I wear my glasses everyday, not realizing that each day, there can be pile up that I just cant see until one day, like today, it is CLEAR that it is not clear. Get it?! Well, that’s just how our spirit lives are. We be in the spirit every day to where we don’t realized that on each new day, we take on something new that adds pile up to our lens, and then one day, pow! We are overwhelmed and wondering where this “cloud” is coming from!? I am here to tell you to do what the Holy Spirit said when I cleaned my glasses: clean your spiritual lens. Take a moment and go to God and ask Him to help you see clearly again.
It’s okay to become overwhelmed and consumed with a lot of things, we are humans, however, we must not forget Who take cares of our cares:
“Casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Ps 55:22 (KJV)
God is here to give us rest. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble and in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry” Matt 11:28-30 (NET). He is here to sustain you, to support and strengthen you. “The Lord is the strength of His people, a fortress of salvation for His anointed one” Psalm 28:8 (NIV). It’s no mistake these verses are here. The Lord knows with the ills of life, that we will be overwhelmed. That is a part of why He sent His Only Begotten Son. Jesus says to take His yoke and learn from Him. He is equipped to carry the weights of it all, not us.
Am I saying to live life without a care in the world? Absolutely not!! I can’t continue on with my days without putting my glasses on, so no, that is not what I’m saying. What I am saying is to do what you need to do, care for those you need to care for, do your work that you need to do, make that move you’ve been meaning to make; but as you do your tasks, just remember to clean your lens. Don’t let the clouds come in and block your vision. One of Satan’s goals to get us is to blind us. That is why the Holy Spirit said to “clean your spiritual lens”. Satan wants to get your glasses so dirty that you lose sight and lose focus on your ultimate goal: Christ. Why do you think when trouble comes, you want to break down and indulge and unhealthy things (i.e. alcohol, drugs, gluttony with food, sex) and your mind begins to wander off and go haywire!? It is no coincidence my dearie. No, no. So when you begin to see the clouds making themselves visible in your life, take your glasses off, present them to God, and let the cloth of the Holy Spirit clean them.
We thank You for Your sweet and precious Holy Spirit. Lord, we come to You with our cloudy and plied up glasses asking You to cleanse them so that we may see again. God, we know that the ills of life are going to come, but we pray, that as we go on with each day, we remember to check our vision so that Satan cannot come in and have any type of rule over us. Lord we pray that Your Holy Spirit never depart for us and God, You said that we shall never suffer to be moved, therefor God, we come to You Father, casting all of our burdens onto You because we know and understand that we cannot do it on our own. And Father, we thank You now that it is already done and that we can see clearly now that the clouds are gone.
In Jesus precious and awesome name we pray, Amen.
Bless and be blessed…
